The materials available for our industry are constantly changing, so much and so often, that local building inspection departments often label the code requirement as "to manufacturer's specifications"
Sometimes these specs hit the mark sufficiently, while sometimes there's too much of a gray area remaining for us to perform an install and walk away with full confidence.
It's these occasions where it matters the most by what system you choose, and the manufacturer you obtain these materials from. Amazon Roofing has always been partial to Owens Corning for many reasons:
A) top of the line with quality and selection. B) outstanding support staff always on standby if an issue was to arise. C) Their world headquarters is located right here in Downtown Toledo Ohio! This means more jobs, right here in our community for our family, friends and neighbors!
Install methods are equally as important as the products, and when due diligence is applied, the end result will be you receiving the high quality roofing system that you spent your hard earned money on!!!
As you read our blog posts that will be forthcoming, please take into consideration that much of the information / recommendations we will be sharing, can be defined as opinion based. We have drawn these conclusions from our own experiences while working with these certain products. We understand that there are others out there, that will feel the exact opposite than us. We, of course, respect the differing opinions, and have no interest in debating their views against ours.
There is a lot of topics existing in our industry, where we have said "if you ask 10 different contractors, you'll get 10 different answers"
To avoid added confusion, many of the roofing companies in Toledo have chosen to have certification with only 1 shingle manufacturer. If working with more than 1 line of products, a combination of different products, could result in the project not having enough products to qualify for the manufacturer's product warranty.
We hope that as time continues to go by, that some of our recommendations will help some of our readers, in choosing the correct roofing system for their specific needs.
Thank you, Amazon Roofing - Toledo Ohio
